Months ago Andrew found a bike race near my parents home so we planned a weekend trip. Naturally, I started searching for some running races nearby because that’s only fair.
My goal was to set a PR and break 1:40.
I spent the afternoon hanging out with my mom (just us girls) and met Andrew and my dad for dinner at Best Thai in Frisco. I had the Bangkok Special with peanut sauce and rice served in the shape of a heart.
It’s hard to believe this time last year I was running the 2014 Chicgao Marathon in hopes of qualifying for Boston. I didn’t qualify and shared some things I learned from the experience here.
Sunday was another day outdoors as we cheered on Andrew at his bike race.
He finished 8th in the Pro category and won $25. Woohoo!! That’s like 3 FroYo dates.
I think this picture proves I have successfully mastered the finite skills it requires to give someone water. #flawless
And then we made the trip back home where the real world of dirty laundry, unmowed lawns, and empty refrigerators exist.
I’ve always been curious about how much our lunches cost each week when I prep them, so after a trip to the grocery store I tallied it up. $11.42 – TOTAL! $11.42 for five days worth of lunches for two. That’s 10 meals! (I’ve had some questions on vegan meal ideas, so I’ll be dedicating a post to our cheap week of vegan pre-made lunches.) Are you subscribed to my blog to never miss a post?? We tried out some new veggie burgers and these BBQ sweet potato fries for a quick dinner.
